Data Deletion Policy

At MOTRaxis, we respect your right to control your personal data. This page explains how you can request deletion of your data and what happens when you do.
1. How to Request Data Deletion
You can request deletion of your account and associated data through any of the following methods:
Option A: Email Request
Send an email to privacy@motraxis.app with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include your registered email address or phone number.
Option B: In-App Request
Open the MOTRaxis app → Profile → Delete Account. Follow the on-screen confirmation steps. Your account will be deleted within 30 days. You will be signed out immediately after confirming.
2. What Gets Deleted
Upon processing your deletion request, the following data will be permanently removed:

3. What Gets Retained
Certain data may be retained even after account deletion for legitimate purposes:
- Vehicle Service Records: Repair and service history records are part of the vehicle's Digital Vehicle Passport. These records will be anonymized (workshop name replaced with a generic identifier) but retained to preserve the vehicle's lifetime service history for current and future vehicle owners.
- Financial Records: Transaction records and platform fee history may be retained for up to 7 years for tax compliance and legal obligations, in anonymized form.
- Aggregated Analytics: Non-personally-identifiable, aggregated usage data may be retained for platform improvement.
4. Deletion Processing
- Acknowledgment: We will acknowledge your deletion request within 48 hours.
- Verification: We may ask you to verify your identity to prevent unauthorized deletions.
- Processing: Data deletion is completed within 30 days of verification.
- Confirmation: You will receive a confirmation email once your data has been deleted.
- Backup Purge: Data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 90 days after deletion, after which backups are rotated and the data is permanently removed.
5. Before You Delete
We recommend the following before requesting account deletion:
- Export Your Data: Use the Settings > Backup & Export feature to download a copy of your workshop data before deletion.
- Settle Outstanding Balances: Ensure your wallet balance is zero or request a refund for any remaining balance.
- Inform Your Customers: If you are a workshop, consider informing your customers that their records with your workshop will be anonymized.
6. Consequences of Deletion
- Account deletion is permanent and irreversible.
- You will lose access to all data associated with your account.
- Any active subscriptions (including MOTRaxis Pro) or trial periods will be terminated immediately.
- Wallet balances remaining at the time of deletion are forfeited unless a refund is requested prior to deletion.
- You may create a new account after deletion, but previous data cannot be restored.
